 “Poor Design” 2009-09-27

We purchased this for our son just before he turned a year old. Initially we thought it would be a great toy for him to practice eye-hand coordination and to learn colors, etc. However, we were so disappointed when we started to play with this toy. The balls do move through the tube as designed and the music is festive, but once the balls pop out of the top they go flying all over the place. I spent more time chasing after the balls than my son did actually being able to enjoy the toy. In my opinion, I found having to chase after the balls each time a bit annoying. This is not a well designed toy and I would not have purchased it if I had known what a problem it was going to be. Overall it is not such a terrible toy, but there are others out there that require less work and provide more stimulation for young children than this one does.

 “Outstanding” 2009-09-24

We bought this toy for our daughter about three years ago and she loved it. We were going through her old toys and found it so we gave it to our ten month old twins. They too love it, they beat it up knock it over and it just keeps running. However, if you have a dog be weary of the balls our dog destroyed all but one of them.

 “This sucker is LOUD” 2009-09-24

I got this toy for my son for Christmas last year when he was 7 months old. He was afraid of it because of the noise (it sounds like a very loud vacuum cleaner). I was also not impressed with the narrowness of it - very easy for an eager infant to knock it over. I put it away in the closet and got it out again at 10 and 12 months. Both times, he was frightened of the noise and I had to put it away again. When the balls do “pop” they don’t fall nicely in the tray that is provided, they hit it and bounce out and go all over the place. Don’t waste your money.

 “fun toy” 2009-09-23

My 9-month-old seems to like this toy alright…at first the loud noise that it makes scares her; but after a while, she got used to it and is now ok with it. This toy should come with extra balls, in case the original 5 get lost as they bounce around so much, most of the time they don’t hit the plate…

note: if there are not 5 balls in the queue it’s not enough force to pop the rest…

I think 4 D cell batteries is a lot for this toy…especially if your kid plays with it a lot..will need to replace the batteries really fast…but then again, it probably requires that many in order to force the balls to pop out…

 “great toy, just supervise” 2009-09-20

We got this toy for our daughters first christmas, she was about 7months old. It has been a big hit with her. We long have lost some of the balls, but it matters not to her , she loves the noise. She also likes putting other items in it. She is 17 months now and lately she has been getting her hand stuck in it. Her grandmother witnessed her getting her arm stuck, and I did another time, but it wasnt stuck too bad. then the other day when putting her down for a nap we heard her screaming and hollering, thought it was her normal nap fit after about 5 minutes we checked on her, she had her arm stuck up to past her elbow! it is going in the trash now. as I said this is a great toy, just be in the room and watch them, probably better for those under one. I think the toddlers are too advanced for this and can get into trouble
